BalasHapusI honestly don't understand why HHH gets so much hate. He made a great heel, I mean the rivalries he had with the Rock, Austin, and Mankind will always be remembered by WWF fans. Plus, he was the leader of DX, one of the best wrestling groups in the Attitude era. I don't know what he's like outside of wrestling, but he seems like a good guy in and out of the ring. I can't help but respect that.

BalasHapusI can tell some of you younger WWE fans were not watching this when it was brand new, otherwise you would know The Rock pre-Hollywood never smiled, the old Rock never made everything about the people it was all about himself. He started to care more about the fans when he got popular, the catchphrases were part of his heel gimmick to get the crowd to boo him e.g : "You can chant Rocky Sucks all you want but The Rock is still your People's Champion" then he would try to say "If you smell what The Rock" and then the crowd would say "Is Cooking" "No no no this ain't sing along with The Great One shut up and let The Rock say it himself" but The Rock couldn't shut the crowd up because everything he said was too likable : "Shove it up your candy ass" "Shut up jabroni before The Rock slaps the taste out of your mouth" "You will go one on one with the Great One". It's not enough to watch these small clips, you have to see the whole thing.

BalasHapusThis is the perfect example of why The Rock went on to the silver screen and Triple H is the biggest star in JV. He could synergize with a hot crowd and make himself seem better than anyone else. Triple H was a second tier star until guys like the Foley and The Rock - who worked so well against each other, put him over so that he seemed like a half-decent champion. Triple was also extremely jealous of the The Rock's out of ring success and could never hope duplicate it. He's never been capable of connecting with a crowd the way The Rock. Mick Foley, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret Hart or Ric Flair could. He's just a guy who was a decent midcarder that married into the owner's family. He wouldn't be the 5000x world champion if he wasn't Mr. Stephanie 'Nipple H' McMahon.
