  1. This is not really funny. It might work better as stand up routine on stage where you might be buzzing, loads of people and you're trying to have a good night but it gets very tedious just watching on a screen because you know it's just going to continue the same tone over and over and over again.

  2. Pretty sure the people commenting about how this would be reality are jobless.

  3. John and Graham were so good with utter nonsense! Every time I see this I howl.

  4. This was back when the BBC produced everything. Monty Python wanted to do something on television that the BBC management couldn't dictate how their show ran. They came up with utter nonsense and the funniest things that they could dream up. If you look further back when they were newly formed, you'd see Peter Sellers and several more that was with their team.

  7. I don't have the balls to pull this off but just thinking about it has gotten me through a few interviews with candidates before.

  9. oddly enough, one could construe everything in this interview as actually testing management skills, particularly leadership skills in the face of an ever-changing open market, where conditions in how people react to things is indeed quite silly and even arbitrary. it could be argued that the people giving scores are really just rating how well Chapman's product did with individual demographics, and sillier is sometimes better in marketing because it catches more attention from the average, run-of-the-mill consumer. all of these decisions for the direction of how things move have to be made quickly by the heads of departments. of course, as brilliant as the pythons are, i'm sure they worked every bit of dialogue in this very precisely so it's not too silly but i figured i'd try to bring some more intellectual conversation to youtube for the hell of it.
